At Howe Sound Pulp & Paper, we need a lot of  power each day to make our products.  In order to meet this demand, we use a variety of power sources, and we generate over 3/4 of our total energy requirements.

At the heart of Howe Sound is our two boilers. Our Power Boiler and our Recovery Boiler (which is 70 meters high) are systems that were installed new during our modernization in the early 1990's and utilize state of the art technology to ensure safety and excellent environmental performance.
